School Re-opening

As you will be aware the school is currently closed to most pupils and will continue to be so till at least the start of the new school year.

We are open for the children of key workers or certain pupil groups.

The government Is looking to increase the number of pupils attending school within these groups from 1st June 2020.

MSPRU are working to be able to increase the number of pupils who can safely attend.  We will not allow extra pupils in until we are certain they can attend as safely as possible. Any child attending will be required to strictly follow social distancing and other hygiene guidelines.

If your child is in one of the focus groups, during one of the regular contact calls the school staff will discuss this with you.  If you would like more details please contact the centre your child attends.

Children currently attending should continue to do so.

Please do not send your child to school if it has not been agreed with the centre. This could compromise the safety of your child and the others attending the centre.

Many thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

The government has announced it intends to arrange for some groups of pupils to be able to loan a laptop computer to help with school work during the current lock-down.

This project is currently only just getting underway and we have been told that we are unlikely to get any machines till the beginning of July at the earliest.

We understand certain year 10 pupils will be the first pupils eligible. Other year groups are unlikely to be considered until at least the start of the new school year in September.

Please note,  not ever pupil will be entitled to loan a machine.  The criteria will be outlined by the Department of Education and MSPRU will not be able to alter those criteria.

As soon as we get information about which students will be eligible and when machines will arrive, if your child is eligible we will contact you to discuss the program.
