Pupil Attendance

Regular school attendance is essential if children are to achieve their full potential. Manchester Secondary PRU believe that regular school attendance is the key to enabling children to maximize the educational opportunities available to them and become emotionally resilient, confident and competent adults who can realise their full potential and make a positive contribution to their community.

We offer a support first approach to attendance and encourage clear and frequent communication from parents and guardians to identify and address any attendance concerns.

We follow Manchester Local Authority’s statutory escalation pathway but will always look to work together to see how we can support families and children to overcome any barriers to attendance.
